Originally a jam band composed of musicians from various bands around Wellington, New Zealand. After developing a cult following in Europe, the Fat Freddy project gradually became its members’ sole focus. Parts jazz, dub, reggae, ska, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues, and techno mixed in a Māori stew.
