Beatriz Luengo became well known for her role in the Spanish production “Un Paso Adelante”, an adaptation of the American 80’s TV series “Fame”. Bela y Sus Moskitas Muertas is Luengo’s fourth studio album, co-written and produced by “Un Paso Adelante” co-star and now husband Yotuel of Cuban hip-hop group Orishas. The title comes from a popular saying in Spain that if you don’t take chances and move forward you will just sit there and attract more mosquitoes to cause you pain. So “Bela” represents the chances taken on this album that have rid Beatriz of the “moskitas” that were eating her. Every song on this album is an impeccable beauty.
